Choose Your Next Step

Hyaluronic
Acid
Viscosupplementation designed to improve joint lubrication and help manage symptoms associated with osteoarthritis.

Arthrosamid
A non-biodegradable hydrogel injection used in selected knee osteoarthritis cases to improve joint cushioning and stability.

Shockwave
Targeted sound waves to stimulate healing and accelerate recovery in tendon and soft tissue injuries by promoting circulation and cellular repair processes

Low Level Laser
Photobiomodulation uses specific wavelengths of light to enhance mitochondrial activity, support tissue recovery, reduce pain, and improve tolerance to rehabilitation

Electro
Magnetic Therapy
High-energy electromagnetic fields to modulate inflammation, influence cellular signalling, and support tissue healing and recovery

The Joint Preservation Pathway is a structured approach to diagnosing, treating, and protecting your joints. It combines advanced imaging, targeted orthobiologic therapies, and progressive rehabilitation, often used together, to restore function, reduce pain, and support long-term joint health.
Joint Preservation Pathway

For elite and professional athletes, the priority is clarity, speed, and precision without compromising clinical judgement. We provide rapid-access assessment, coordinate advanced imaging where required, and integrate closely with the athlete’s existing team—physiotherapists, strength and conditioning coaches, and club staff, to support a safe, efficient return to performance.

Pathway

1. Consultation
Every case begins with a detailed consultation and examination, alongside a clear understanding of your sport, training demands, injury history, and symptom behaviour.
2. Diagnosis
A precise working diagnosis is established, identifying the primary pain generator and contributing factors, rather than treating symptoms in isolation.
3. Imaging Correction
Where appropriate, ultrasound and/or MRI findings are reviewed to confirm the diagnosis, stage the pathology, and guide accurate treatment planning.
4. Bespoke Plan
Treatment is individualised based on the specific pathology and stage of injury.
In some cases, rehabilitation alone remains the best approach. In others, orthobiologic therapies such as PRP are introduced - often alongside adjunctive treatments - to support progression.
5. Treatment Integration
Where indicated, therapies are combined and sequenced to optimise outcomes.
This may include orthobiologics, shockwave therapy, electromagnetic therapies, or photobiomodulation, integrated within a broader treatment strategy.
6. Rehabilitation & Loading Strategy
All interventions are supported by a structured rehabilitation and loading programme designed to restore strength, control, and tissue capacity.
The intervention is not the treatment in isolation - the pathway is.
7. Follow Up & Progression
Progress is reviewed over time, with ongoing adjustment of the treatment and rehabilitation plan based on symptoms, tissue response, function, and performance goals.
A repeatable process. Personalised execution.
At The Sports Biologics Clinic™, all treatments are delivered as part of a defined clinical pathway.
Your Treatment Pathway Starts Here
Consultation → diagnosis → imaging correlation → bespoke plan → rehab/loading strategy → injection where indicated → follow-up & progression

Conditions we treat
Move better. Train smarter. Feel stronger.
We treat a range of joint and tendon conditions, including knee and hip osteoarthritis, patellofemoral pain and chondropathy, Achilles and plantar fascia pathology, and shoulder and elbow tendinopathy, particularly where symptoms persist, recovery plateaus, or performance is limited in both active individuals and elite athletes.
